Turn basic pantry finds into a rich and dreamy meal with this Creamy Bacon Pasta. Every bite, from the crispy bacon to the tender noodles, gets coated in a velvety sauce with plenty of Parmesan melted right in. What really makes it next-level? That bacon fat soaks every bit with deep smoky flavor, and the cream makes everything unbelievably smooth.

After making this more times than I can count, I gotta say—extra crispy bacon and using that leftover fat to build up the sauce are my absolute secret moves here.

Tasty Ingredients

  • Reserved Pasta Water: Pour in that cooking water to nail the texture.
  • Garlic: Use fresh minced garlic for extra flavor.
  • Parmesan: Get the fresh stuff and grate it for a meltier cheese pull.
  • Heavy Cream: This makes the sauce so silky and good.
  • Pasta: Any noodle shape you want will work here.
  • Bacon: Thick pieces get the crispiest, tastiest results.

Simple Pasta Success

Final Combo:
Stir everything together while it’s steaming hot and use pasta water if you need to loosen things up.
Pasta Prep:
Boil your noodles to just al dente and don’t forget to save some water before you drain.
Sauce Time:
Pour in the cream slowly and let it cook down so it gets nice and thick.
Garlic Magic:
Add the garlic to that bacon fat and cook until you can smell it—not browned though.
Bacon Power:
Fry bacon until it's super crisp, and don’t toss the leftover fat—it’s liquid gold.

That bacon flavor running through sauce and pasta is my weakness. Honestly, I end up making a little extra bacon since some disappears before the meal’s even done!

Best Eats on the Side

Whip up a quick arugula salad with lemony dressing to freshen things up. For mopping up sauce, nothing beats a big slice of garlic bread.

Make It Yours

Throw in some peas if you want something sweet and green, or toss in spinach to pack it with more veggies. Craving heat? A sprinkle of red pepper flakes wakes things up.

Leftover Know-How

Keep any extras in the fridge covered and they’ll be good for three days. Reheat with a dash of cream to bring back that creamy goodness.

I’ve played with a bunch of pasta meals, but this creamy bacon one wins every time. It nails that sweet spot between super rich and super simple. Reminds me, the best meals are just a few solid ingredients cooked with love. Every time I make it, I remember why simple can be so special.

Absolutely, any noodle will do. Just follow the cooking time on the package.

Of course. Spinach, mushrooms, or peas taste great. Just toss them in when the sauce is coming together.

Ingredients You’ll Need

→ Base

01 8 strips bacon, cut up
02 340g (12 ounces) pasta like spaghetti, penne, or rigatoni

→ Sauce

03 120ml (1/2 cup) chicken broth
04 100g (1 cup) Parmesan, grated
05 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
06 2 tablespoons butter
07 240ml (1 cup) heavy cream

→ Seasonings

08 A handful of fresh parsley, chopped (15g, about 1/4 cup)
09 Red pepper flakes, as much as you like
10 Black pepper, about 1/2 teaspoon
11 Salt to your liking

Steps to Make It

Step 01

Toss bacon and noodles into the creamy sauce. Swirl around to coat. Splash in pasta water if things look dry. Sprinkle with parsley and taste to see if more seasoning is needed.

Step 02

Drop butter in pan and warm up garlic for a bit. Mix in broth and cream. When it starts to bubble, pour in the Parmesan and stir till it's smooth.

Step 03

Get bacon cooking over medium heat until it gets crunchy, about 5-7 minutes. Scoop it out and pour off all but a couple spoonfuls of the bacon grease.

Step 04

Boil pasta until barely tender. Before draining, scoop out a cup of the hot pasta water to save for later.
