Hamburger Supreme Casserole (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Protein

01 - 1 pound of ground beef

→ Aromatics

02 - 2 minced garlic cloves
03 - 1 diced small onion

→ Seasonings

04 - 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
05 - 1/2 teaspoon of salt
06 - 1 teaspoon of Italian spice blend

→ Pasta

07 - Half a pound of egg noodles or your choice of pasta

→ Sauce

08 - 1 cup sour cream
09 - 1 can (10.5 ounces) of mushroom soup
10 - 1 drained can (14.5 ounces) of diced tomatoes

→ Cheese

11 - 1/2 cup of Parmesan, finely grated
12 - 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar, split in two portions

→ Garnish (Optional)

13 - 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped parsley

# Instructions:

01 - Fill a big pot with water and salt it generously. Once it's boiling, toss in the pasta and cook it according to the package directions until it's just firm to the bite. Drain and keep it on the side.
02 - Grab a large skillet and heat it on medium. Add the ground beef, the onion you diced, and the minced garlic. Stir it occasionally while cooking, and break up the beef until there's no pink left and the onions soften (about 6–8 minutes). Drain the grease if there's too much.
03 - Mix in the Italian herbs along with the salt and black pepper. Stir well. Add the diced tomatoes (drain them first) and let everything simmer for another few minutes before pulling it off the heat.
04 - In a bowl, combine the mushroom soup and sour cream. Stir or whisk until it’s completely smooth.
05 - Turn the oven to 350°F (175°C) to preheat. Use a 9x13-inch baking dish and start layering: half the noodles first, then spread on half the beef, pour on half the sauce, and sprinkle 3/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Do that same layering one more time and finish by adding the Parmesan to the top.
06 - Cover the baking dish with foil and place it in the oven for 20 minutes. Take the foil off and keep baking it for another 10–15 minutes until the cheese melts and turns golden.
07 - Let the baked dish cool for a couple of minutes. Add some parsley if you like. Serve while it’s warm and enjoy every bite!
