Garlic Soy Bok Choy (Printable Recipe Version)

Golden bok choy halves seared and tossed in a yummy soy-garlic sauce. The quickest, tastiest side dish.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Fresh Produce

01 - 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
02 - 1 green onion, diced for topping
03 - 4 baby bok choy, sliced in half lengthwise

→ Sauce Ingredients

04 - 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
05 - 1 tablespoon honey
06 - 3 tablespoons soy sauce (use low-sodium if needed)
07 - 1 teaspoon rice vinegar

→ Oil & Seasonings

08 - Salt and black pepper to your liking
09 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
10 - 1 teaspoon sesame seeds to sprinkle on top

# Steps to Make It:

01 - Warm olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Put the bok choy halves cut-side down and cook them for 2-3 minutes until soft and golden underneath.
02 - Flip the bok choy over, toss in the garlic, and let it cook for a couple of minutes. Stir occasionally so the garlic doesn’t burn.
03 - Stir soy sauce, honey, vinegar, and sesame oil together in a small mixing bowl.
04 - Drizzle the sauce into the pan and simmer for 1-2 minutes until it thickens slightly and covers the bok choy.
05 - Scatter the green onions and sesame seeds on top. Serve while warm and flavorful.

# Extra Information:

01 - A dash of sriracha or chili flakes adds heat if you want it spicy.
02 - Swap honey with maple syrup to make it suitable for vegans.
03 - Include protein like chicken, tofu, or shrimp to turn it into a full dish.
