If you want, peel the potatoes. Slice them nice and evenly, then grease your slow cooker lightly.

Mix the potato slices with the onion soup packet and melted butter. Toss in some cheese if you like it.

Lay the seasoned potatoes inside the cooker, then pour the water or broth over everything.

Put the lid on and let it cook until soft: either 5-6 hours on low or 2-3 hours on high.

Add salt and pepper if needed, then serve while it’s warm.
