01 -
Slice your old bread into small cubes about 1-inch each, then toss them into a bowl.
02 -
In a big mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, whole milk, cream, regular sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until smooth and combined.
03 -
Carefully stir your bread cubes into the custardy mixture, making sure each piece is coated. Let the mix sit for 10 minutes so the bread soaks up everything.
04 -
While waiting, set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and get a muffin tray ready. You can grease it or use paper liners.
05 -
Spoon the soaked bread mixture evenly into the muffin cups. Gently press them down so there’s no extra space.
06 -
Mix cinnamon and sugar together in a small bowl. Brush the muffins with melted butter, then sprinkle the sugar-cinnamon blend on top.
07 -
Put them in the oven for 20-25 minutes. They’re ready when they turn golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
08 -
After baking, let them rest in the tray for a few minutes before moving them to a cooling rack. They’re delicious whether warm or at room temperature, especially drizzled with maple syrup!
