In a medium pot, combine your sugar, butter, evaporated milk, and salt. Turn on medium heat and stir nonstop until it comes to a boil.

Add your chocolate chips to the mix. Keep stirring until everything looks all smooth and melted together.

Take the pot off the burner and throw in marshmallows, vanilla, and any nuts you want to use. Keep stirring until the marshmallows have fully melted.

Pour the mix into a greased 8-inch square dish. Spread it out evenly with a spatula so the top is nice and smooth.

Leave it on the counter until it's firm enough for you to slice into squares.
