Texas Style Pork Chops (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 thick bone-in pork chops (around 1 inch)
02 - 2 finely minced garlic cloves
03 - 2 tablespoons of butter
04 - 1 tablespoon of olive oil

→ Seasoning Mix

05 - 1 teaspoon dried thyme
06 - 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
07 - 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
08 - A pinch of salt, adjust to taste
09 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
10 - 1 teaspoon black pepper, ground

→ Honey Mustard Sauce

11 - 1 teaspoon whole-grain mustard
12 - 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
13 - 1 tablespoon honey

→ Garnish

14 - Chopped fresh parsley

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and let it warm up. Rub the pork chops thoroughly with the seasoning mix.
02 - Grab a skillet, heat up that olive oil until it’s hot, and sear the chops on each side for 2-3 minutes so they get a nice golden crust.
03 - Once the pork is out of the pan, lower the heat and stir honey, Dijon, and whole-grain mustard with the minced garlic. Simmer until it thickens up, about 2-3 minutes.
04 - Add butter to the same pan and cook for 1-2 minutes, letting the garlic release all its aroma and flavor.
05 - Bake those chops in the oven-safe skillet for 10-12 minutes at 400°F. Check that the inside reaches 145°F, then let the meat sit for 5 minutes. Sprinkle parsley on top before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For deeper flavor, marinate the chops the night before cooking.
02 - 145°F is the perfect temperature for juicy pork.
03 - Pair with creamy mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables for a balanced meal.
