Salisbury Steak Gravy (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 tsp black pepper.
02 - 1 large egg.
03 - 3 tbsp butter.
04 - 8 oz mushrooms, sliced.
05 - 1 small onion, diced fine.
06 - 1 tbsp milk, whole.
07 - 3 tbsp ketchup, split.
08 - 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs.
09 - 1 pound ground beef.
10 - 1 tsp garlic powder.
11 - 1 tsp dijon mustard.
12 - 3 tbsp flour, any kind.
13 - 3 cups beef broth.
14 - 2 tbsp Worcestershire, divided up.
15 - 1 tsp onion powder.

# Instructions:

01 - Throw beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, seasonings, along with 1 tbsp each of Worcestershire sauce and ketchup into a bowl. Mash it all together and make four oval shapes.
02 - Cook patties in a big pan over medium heat until both sides have a nice brown crust. Take them out after.
03 - In the same pan, toss in onions, mushrooms, and butter. Keep cooking and stir up the crispy stuff stuck on the pan until it’s golden.
04 - Sprinkle flour into the pan and mix till it looks golden. Slowly pour in broth, the rest of the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard.
05 - Pop the patties back into the skillet. Let them cook 10 minutes till the sauce thickens and the meat hits 165°F.

# Notes:

01 - Shape it into six smaller patties if you'd prefer.
02 - Use a large 12-inch pan to keep things roomy.
03 - Pick lean beef to keep the gravy from getting greasy.
