Chicken Spaghetti Lo Mein (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 pound chicken breast, cut into thin strips
02 - 8 ounces of uncooked spaghetti
03 - 2 cups of chopped mixed veggies (like broccoli, peppers, or carrots)
04 - 3 garlic cloves, chopped finely
05 - 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
06 - 2 green onions, sliced thin for topping

→ For the Sauce

07 - 1 teaspoon sugar for balancing flavors
08 - 1/4 cup salty soy sauce
09 - 1/2 cup broth made from chicken
10 - 2 teaspoons of sesame oil for extra nuttiness
11 - 2 tablespoons savory oyster sauce
12 - 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed well with 2 teaspoons water
13 - 1/2 teaspoon of powdered ginger
14 - Season with salt and pepper as you like

# Instructions:

01 - Follow the directions on the pasta box to cook it, then rinse with cool water. Drain it and leave it aside for later.
02 - Dump 1 tablespoon of oil into a hot pan on medium-high heat. Toss the chicken in with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Stir and cook for 5–6 minutes until it's got a nice sear. Set it aside once done.
03 - Use the same pan. Pour in the other tablespoon of oil, toss in the garlic, and cook for half a minute. Add in your vegetables and stir around for 3–4 minutes, keeping them a little crunchy.
04 - Put the chicken back into the skillet. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, ginger, and broth. Let it bubble for 2 minutes, then pour in the cornstarch mix to make the sauce thicker.
05 - Toss the cooked spaghetti into your pan and mix everything until it’s evenly coated. Sprinkle the green onions on top and enjoy it hot.

# Notes:

01 - Want it spicy? Add some chili flakes or a dash of your favorite hot sauce.
02 - Try using shrimp or tofu instead of chicken for a fun change.
03 - This meal tastes amazing as leftovers the next day for lunch.
