Sausage Tomato Soup (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - Finely chopped onion
02 - Ground Italian sausage
03 - Chopped red bell pepper
04 - Crushed garlic cloves

→ Liquids

05 - Beef stock
06 - Canned roasted tomatoes, crushed

→ Pasta

07 - Fusilli or rotini pasta twists

→ Seasonings

08 - Basil leaves (fresh)
09 - Dried red pepper flakes, optional
10 - Oregano, dried
11 - Blend of Italian spices

→ For Serving

12 - Shredded parmesan cheese

# Instructions:

01 - Sauté the sausage and onion while stirring for about 7-10 minutes, then pour off the extra grease.
02 - Stir in garlic, roasted tomato puree, stock, peppers, and seasonings of your choice.
03 - Drop in the pasta once it's boiling and cover to simmer gently for 15 minutes.
04 - Mix in fresh basil. Adjust salt and pepper how you like, then sprinkle with parmesan before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Cook pasta by itself if saving for later meals.
02 - Pour in more stock if the sauce thickens too much.
