Conchitas and Beef (Printable Recipe Version)

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

01 - 1 1/2 pounds of ground beef.
02 - 3 cups of conchitas pasta, uncooked.
03 - 4 tablespoons of olive oil.
04 - 3 garlic cloves, chopped finely.
05 - 6 Roma tomatoes, cut into quarters.
06 - 3/4 cup of diced white onion.
07 - 1/2 cup of broth, chicken flavor.
08 - 1/2 cup of plain tomato sauce.
09 - 3/4 teaspoon of cumin powder.
10 - 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano.
11 - 3/4 cup of frozen carrots.
12 - 3 bay leaves for flavor.
13 - Salt and pepper, adjust to taste.
14 - Optional: Add a kick with jalapeños.
15 - Optional: Sprinkle some red pepper flakes.

# Steps to Make It:

01 - Cook the ground beef in a pan until there’s no more pink.
02 - In a pot, warm up olive oil over medium heat.
03 - Sprinkle salt and pepper over the beef.
04 - Toss in garlic, pasta shells, and the tomatoes.
05 - Pour in tomato sauce and chicken broth.
06 - Stir cumin into the mixture to blend flavors.
07 - Lower the heat and let it cook gently for 20 minutes.
08 - Throw in the carrots, oregano, and bay leaves.
09 - Keep simmering for another 15 minutes, until the pasta softens.
10 - Stir in diced onions and let cook for five minutes.
