Honey Salmon Fillet (Printable Recipe Version)

Salmon fillets get slathered in a honey garlic sauce, baked until super moist, and finished off with a splash of soy for a fuss-free dinner.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Salmon Fillets

01 - 2 teaspoons garlic powder
02 - 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
03 - 2 teaspoons sea salt
04 - 4 pieces salmon, each about 200 grams

→ Honey Glaze

05 - 60 milliliters soy sauce or tamari for gluten free
06 - 120 milliliters honey
07 - 5 garlic cloves, minced
08 - 115 grams salted butter or use olive oil

# Steps to Make It:

01 - Drizzle any extra sauce from the pan over the salmon to deepen the flavor. Serve right away.
02 - Put the salmon in the oven. Bake for 12 minutes or until you can easily flake it with a fork and it's just cooked through.
03 - Slather the honey glaze over all your salmon so each piece is covered well.
04 - Lay the salmon pieces on the lined baking pan. Sprinkle them with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
05 - On the stove, mix butter, garlic, honey, and soy sauce in a saucepan. Stir over medium-high until smooth, let it bubble for about 3 minutes to thicken up.
06 - Heat your oven to 220°C. Grab a baking tray and line it with parchment or foil so cleaning is easy later.

# Extra Information:

01 - Even-sized salmon fillets help them cook at the same speed.
02 - Freshly chopped garlic has a stronger kick than the stuff from a jar.
03 - How thick your salmon is decides the bake time. Aim for 63°C inside if you want to check with a thermometer.
04 - If your glaze turns too runny, keep simmering it or mix in a bit of cornstarch. If it's too thick, just add a splash of hot water and whisk well.
05 - To keep the glaze nice, use medium heat so it won’t burn. Keep stirring and never blast the heat.
06 - To warm up leftovers, the oven or air fryer works best. Don’t overdo it or it’ll dry the salmon out.
