Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the shrimp for about 1-2 minutes per side, or until golden and crispy. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

In a bowl, mix together garlic, soy sauce, honey, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and hot water. In the same skillet, pour the sauce mixture. Stir well and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce reduces and thickens slightly.

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, tossing them in the sauce until fully coated.

Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and red pepper flakes, if desired.
