# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Optional extras

01 - Chopped jalapeños or chili flakes if you want it spicy
02 - Diced onions
03 - Paprika, diced
04 - Finely chopped herbs like parsley or chives

→ Main basics

05 - A pinch of paprika powder, up to your taste
06 - Black pepper, as you like
07 - Salt, just go with what you like
08 - 1 egg, for brushing on top
09 - 200 g grated cheese like cheddar, emmental, or gouda
10 - 1 roll of store-bought puff pastry
11 - 500 g ground beef or any ground meat you like

# Steps to Make It:

01 - Slide the roll onto your tray and stick it in the hot oven. Bake for about 25–30 minutes until the crust is crispy and turns a gorgeous brown.
02 - Beat the egg and coat the whole outside of the roll with it. This makes it shiny and gives you a beautiful crust.
03 - Line your tray with baking paper. Turn your oven on so it's good and hot—200°C if you’re using top and bottom heat, or 180°C with fan.
04 - Starting along a long edge, tightly roll everything up. Pinch both ends shut so nothing leaks.
05 - Sprinkle the cheese over your pastry. Then pile your seasoned meat mix evenly on top, but leave about 2 centimeters of pastry along the edges clear.
06 - Roll out your puff pastry and leave it at room temperature for a few minutes so it softens a bit.
07 - Toss your ground meat in a bowl. Add paprika, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix in any extras like herbs, diced peppers, onions, or chili if you want.
