Dr Pepper Cake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 package (13.25 oz) German chocolate cake mix.
02 - 3 eggs, large.
03 - 1 and 1/4 cups regular Dr Pepper.
04 - 1/3 cup oil (vegetable is fine).
05 - 1/2 cup tiny chocolate chips.
06 - 1/2 cup melted salted butter.
07 - 1/3 cup full-fat milk.
08 - 1/2 cup cocoa powder.
09 - 2 and 1/2 cups powdered sugar.
10 - 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring.
11 - 1/3 cup chopped walnut pieces.

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x13 baking dish thoroughly with nonstick spray.
02 - Combine cake mix, eggs, Dr Pepper, and oil. Beat for a minute until smooth, then gently stir in the chocolate chips.
03 - Spread the batter into your dish and bake for 25-32 minutes. A toothpick poked in the middle should come out without wet batter.
04 - Slowly whisk melted butter and milk together until it looks creamy. Sprinkle in cocoa powder and mix until smooth.
05 - Mix in the powdered sugar a bit at a time along with the vanilla. Add a splash of Dr Pepper if it's too thick.
06 - Spread frosting evenly on the slightly warm cake. Scatter the walnuts on top. You can enjoy it warm or after it cools down.

# Notes:

01 - Feel free to use any store-bought chocolate cake mix.
02 - Add more Dr Pepper for a thinner frosting consistency.
03 - This could be eaten either warm or cooled down.
