Beef Lombardi Casserole (Printable Recipe Version)

A hearty dish packed with ground beef, thick tomato sauce, and three cheeses over egg noodles.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Meat & Base

01 - 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
02 - 1 pound lean ground beef
03 - 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chiles (like Rotel)
04 - 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes

→ Seasonings

05 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
06 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
07 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1 teaspoon salt

→ Pasta & Dairy

09 - 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
10 - 1 cup sour cream
11 - 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
12 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
13 - 12 ounces egg noodles

# Steps to Make It:

01 - Turn your oven on to 350°F and grease a 9x13 baking dish to get it ready.
02 - In a skillet, cook the ground beef until it’s crumbly. Drain any extra grease.
03 - Mix the beef with all the tomatoes, tomato paste, and your seasonings. Let it gently cook for 15-20 minutes so the flavors blend.
04 - Boil the egg noodles until they’re tender, drain them, and coat them all over with sour cream.
05 - Place the sour-cream-covered noodles into the greased dish, add the meat sauce over, and sprinkle all the cheeses on top.
06 - Bake it for about 20-25 minutes until the cheese bubbles and browns a bit. Give it 5 minutes to cool before you dig in.

# Extra Information:

01 - Want creamier noodles? Save some pasta cooking water and stir it into the sour cream.
02 - For a richer flavor, let the meat sauce cook even longer—30 minutes or more.
