Cheesy Ravioli Bake (Printable Recipe Version)

Cheesy layers of ground beef, ravioli, and a rich cream mixture topped with gooey mozzarella and Parmesan, baked to cozy perfection.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Meat and Pasta

01 - 1 lb of ground beef
02 - 1 pack of frozen ravioli (25 oz, cheese-filled)

→ Cheeses and Sauce

03 - 1 cup of ricotta cheese
04 - 1 cup of small curd cottage cheese
05 - ½ cup of sour cream
06 - 2 cups of mozzarella, shredded
07 - ½ cup Parmesan, grated
08 - 1 jar of marinara (24 oz)

→ Aromatics and Spices

09 - 1 tsp of oregano (dried)
10 - 1 tsp of dried basil
11 - 1 tbsp of olive oil
12 - 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
13 - Fresh parsley as a garnish
14 - Salt and pepper (adjust as needed)

# Steps to Make It:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Toss some olive oil into a big skillet and cook the minced garlic just until it smells super fragrant. This'll take less than a minute.
02 - Toss the ground beef into the skillet with the garlic. Stir and crumble it as it cooks, and once you don't see pink anymore, drain the extra grease. Add marinara sauce on top, stir in oregano and basil, and give it a few pinches of salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes to let everything meld together.
03 - In a bowl, combine ricotta, cottage cheese, and sour cream. Toss in one cup of shredded mozzarella and give it a good stir until smooth and blended.
04 - Spray a 9x13 pan quickly with nonstick spray. Spread a layer of meat sauce along the bottom, then lay down half the ravioli. Add the cheesy mixture on top, followed by the last of the frozen ravioli. Pour the rest of the meat sauce over it all, sprinkle on the rest of the mozzarella, and finish with Parmesan.
05 - Cover the dish with foil so it doesn't touch the cheese. Bake for 30 minutes, then take the foil off and cook another 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and just turning golden. Sprinkle fresh parsley over everything before you serve.

# Extra Information:

01 - Keep it fresh by putting together the casserole a day ahead, refrigerating it, and then baking it when needed. Add an extra 10 minutes to the cooking if chilled.
02 - Swap out the ground beef for a couple cups of sautéed mushrooms or spinach for a meat-free version.
