01 - ½ cup cold salted butter, sliced thin
02 - 1 package white or vanilla cake mix
03 - 2 cans (15 oz each) strawberry pie filling
04 - 1 egg, large
05 - 8 oz cream cheese, at room temp
06 - ¼ cup sugar
07 - Optional: fresh strawberries for topping

# Instructions:

01 - Set the oven to heat at 350°F.
02 - Pour the strawberry filling into a 9x13-inch pan and smooth it out.
03 - Mix the cream cheese, egg, and sugar in a bowl until smooth.
04 - Spoon small amounts of the cheesecake mixture over the strawberry base and lightly spread.
05 - Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over everything.
06 - Add thin butter slices across the top of the cake mix to cover as much as possible.
07 - Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden, and the filling bubbles at the edges.
08 - Let it cool for 10 minutes. Enjoy it warm or pop it in the fridge for a chilled treat.
