Mini burgers packed on soft Hawaiian rolls, smothered in sweet mustardy butter, and oven-baked till golden. They’re perfect for grabbing and sharing.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Beef mixture

01 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
02 - 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
03 - 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (use your fave)
05 - 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce or ketchup, whatever you prefer
06 - 2 teaspoons olive oil
07 - 1 medium onion, diced up small
08 - 450 grams lean ground beef (10-20% fat is great)

→ Rolls and cheese

09 - 1 tablespoon soft butter (to grease the pan)
10 - 8 slices cheddar cheese or 180 grams of any melty cheese, shredded
11 - 12 Hawaiian rolls, still attached

→ Glaze topping

12 - 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
13 - 1 tablespoon brown sugar or use maple syrup
14 - 2 tablespoons butter
15 - 2 teaspoons sesame seeds or Everything Bagel Seasoning

# Steps to Make It:

01 - Slide your tray into the hot oven and cook, uncovered, for about 12-15 minutes. Grab it out, then use a serrated knife to slice up the rolls and hand them out while they're nice and warm.
02 - Mix the butter, Dijon, and brown sugar in a smaller bowl (make sure it’s microwave safe). Pop it in the microwave for about 25 seconds and stir until smooth. Brush this mix all over the bun tops, then quickly toss on sesame seeds or whatever seasoning you picked.
03 - Cut your Hawaiian rolls horizontally but don't pull them apart. Stick the bottom part in your buttered pan. Put down half the cheese, pile on the beef, then add the rest of the cheese. Set the tops on so everything is stacked up.
04 - Pour olive oil into your pan and get it medium-hot. Toss in the onion and stir it now and then, letting it go 5-6 minutes ‘til soft and brownish. Drop in the beef, breaking it up and cooking it all the way through—this should take 3 minutes or so. Tilt the pan to move out any greasy bits with a spoon or paper towel. Now stir in mayo, sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Give it a taste. Fix the seasoning if you want.
05 - Crank your oven to 177°C. Either slap some parchment or foil (with oil spray) into your baking pan or just rub butter on the surface if you want crispier slider bottoms.

# Extra Information:

01 - Feel free to make your meat mix and glaze up to 2 days ahead. Wait to put everything together and bake it right before you want to eat—that way the buns stay soft but crispy.
02 - Swap the beef for turkey, chicken, or plant-based meat if you want.
03 - Freeze assembled (but unbaked) sliders for as long as 3 months. No need to thaw—just reheat at 177°C for 15-18 minutes until they're hot and melty.
04 - Go with shreds or slices of cheese—provolone, fontina, American, or even pepper jack work really well here.
