→ Sauce Ingredients

01 - 4 tablespoons olive oil
02 - 2 tablespoons butter
03 - 2 onions, finely sliced
04 - 2 tablespoons chili oil
05 - 500 ml heavy cream
06 - 1 tablespoon garlic powder
07 - Salt and pepper to taste

→ Garnish

08 - 4 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley

# Steps to Make It:

01 - In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over low to medium heat. Add the sliced onions and caramelize them slowly for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until they turn a deep golden brown and release a sweet aroma.
02 - Stir in the chili oil until well combined. Pour in the heavy cream, sprinkle in garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and let the mixture simmer gently for 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
03 - Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and reserve some starchy pasta water.
04 - Add the drained pasta and reserved starchy pasta water to the skillet with the sauce. Simmer on medium-high heat for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally to evenly combine.
05 - Turn off the heat, sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the pasta, and add a teaspoon of salt if needed. Let it cool for a couple of minutes before serving.

# Extra Information:

01 - Cooking the onions slowly is crucial to achieving their deep golden color and sweet flavor.
02 - Reserve starchy pasta water to help thicken the sauce and bind it to the pasta.
