Heat up butter on a low flame in a small pot.

Throw in the brown sugar and keep stirring until you don't see any crystals.

Gradually pour in milk while moving the spoon gently.

Turn the heat up to medium and let the mixture bubble gently. Stir nonstop for 2-3 minutes.

Take it off the stove and allow the mixture to cool enough so it's warm, not hot.

Mix 2 cups of powdered sugar into the warm mixture until it's smooth and creamy.

If the frosting feels too thin, toss in a bit more powdered sugar to thicken it up.

Stir in the vanilla last and make sure it's fully blended.

Spread the frosting immediately while it's still soft since it thickens as it cools.
