Slice your carrots and put them in a big pot. Cover them with about an inch of water, bring to a boil, then lower the heat. Cover the pot and let them cook 8 to 10 minutes till they’re tender but still a bit firm.

Pour out the water from the pot and set the carrots aside for now.

In the same pot, on medium heat, combine butter, brown sugar, salt, and white pepper. Let the mixture melt and come together.

Toss the carrots back into the pot. Stir them well and let them cook for around 5 minutes until they’re nicely coated in the shiny glaze.

Sprinkle some parsley on top if you want, then dig in.
