Blissful Cranberry Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup of butter, melted.
02 - 1 and 1/4 cups packed brown sugar.
03 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar.
04 - 2 large eggs plus one yolk.
05 - 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
06 - 2 and 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour.
07 - 2 teaspoons of cornstarch.
08 - 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder.
09 - 1 teaspoon of salt.
10 - 1 cup of dried cranberries.
11 - 1/2 cup of softened butter for the topping.
12 - 8 ounces of cream cheese.
13 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
14 - 1 teaspoon of grated orange peel.
15 - 3 to 4 cups of powdered sugar.
16 - 1/2 cup white chocolate chunks or chips.

# Instructions:

01 - Set oven to 350°F. Lay parchment in a 9x13 pan.
02 - Combine sugars and melted butter. Toss in eggs, yolk, and vanilla; mix until blended.
03 - Slowly work the flour, salt, cornstarch, and baking powder into the wet mixture.
04 - Fold in half the cranberries. Smooth batter into the dish and bake it for 20–25 minutes.
05 - Whip the cream cheese and butter until light. Blend in zest, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
06 - Once bars are cool, frost them. Scatter the rest of the cranberries over and drizzle melted white chocolate. Slice into triangles.

# Notes:

01 - Using dark brown sugar makes them more chewy.
02 - Stays fresh in the fridge for about a week.
03 - They’ll last 3 months if kept frozen.
