# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Main Components

01 - 2 tablespoons cooking oil for stir-frying
02 - 1 pound flank steak, sliced thinly across the grain
03 - 1 green bell pepper, cut into strips
04 - 1 red bell pepper, cut into strips
05 - 1 medium-sized onion, sliced thin
06 - 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into strips

→ Sauce Ingredients

07 - 1/4 cup soy sauce (your go-to base)
08 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch for thickening
09 - 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
10 - 1 tablespoon smooth honey or brown sugar
11 - 2 tablespoons water for mixing
12 - 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
13 - 1 teaspoon sesame oil for extra flavor
14 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
15 - 1 teaspoon ginger, grated fresh
16 - 1/2 teaspoon optional red pepper flakes for spice

# Steps to Make It:

01 - In a small bowl, toss together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, water, rice vinegar, a drizzle of sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and honey (or brown sugar). Want spice? Add some red pepper flakes. Whisk it until smooth and set aside.
02 - Heat a tablespoon of your cooking oil in a hot skillet or wok over medium to high heat. Toss in the thin-sliced beef and let it cook, stirring occasionally, until browned but still tender – about 2-3 minutes. Pull it out and leave it to rest.
03 - Using the same pan, add your leftover oil and toss in the onion, followed by the green, red, and yellow bell peppers. Stir them around for 4-5 minutes, aiming for tender but with a good crunch left.
04 - The steak goes back into the skillet now, along with your mixed sauce. Stir it all up, letting the sauce simmer and thicken for 2-3 minutes while everything gets nicely coated.
05 - Serve it hot! It's an amazing match with fresh steamed rice or noodles. For that extra touch, sprinkle on some sesame seeds or fresh-cut green onions.

# Extra Information:

01 - Any bell peppers you have in your kitchen will work, and mixing colors gives it a great look.
02 - No oyster sauce? Just swap it for hoisin or add extra soy sauce.
03 - Makes a perfect next-day meal. Heat it up, and it's good to go for lunch!
