Oven BBQ Ribs (Printable Recipe Version)

Tender oven BBQ ribs, slow baked and full of flavor, finished with a sticky sweet BBQ glaze.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Meat

01 - About 2 racks of pork ribs, total weight roughly 2.7 kg

→ Dry Rub

02 - 1-2 tsp cayenne pepper, use more or less for spice
03 - 2 tbsp smoked paprika
04 - 2 tsp ground cumin
05 - 1 tbsp chili powder
06 - 1 tsp salt
07 - 1 tbsp onion powder
08 - 1 tbsp garlic powder
09 - 125 g brown sugar

→ Sauce

10 - 1 jar of your favorite BBQ sauce

# Steps to Make It:

01 - Pull ribs out and give them 5 to 10 minutes to chill. Slice into portions and dig in.
02 - Turn on your oven’s broil setting as high as it goes. Broil ribs for 5 minutes till the sauce gets bubbly and sticky—watch closely so nothing burns.
03 - Carefully open up the foil, pour out any extra juice if there is, then brush a thick layer of BBQ sauce all over.
04 - Bake ribs in the middle of the oven for 3 hours. The meat should be super tender and bones should slide right out.
05 - With meat side facing up, snugly wrap each rack in foil and lay them on a baking sheet.
06 - Massage the dry rub all over both sides of your ribs, make sure it’s on there good.
07 - Rinse ribs under cold water and pat dry with kitchen towel. Peel off the silver skin from the back using a paper towel and a teaspoon for grip.
08 - Mix up all the dry rub stuff in a small bowl. Stir it so everything’s blended, set it aside for now.
09 - Heat oven up to 135°C using regular top and bottom heat.

# Extra Information:

01 - A teaspoon and a piece of paper towel make getting off the silver skin way easier. Wrapping the meat in foil keeps these ribs super juicy.
