BBQ Oven Ribs (Printable Recipe Version)

Slow-baked BBQ ribs straight from your oven, full of flavor with a tasty caramelized BBQ glaze.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Meat

01 - 2 racks of pork ribs, about 2.7 kg total

→ Dry Rub

02 - 1-2 teaspoons cayenne pepper, use more if you like extra heat
03 - 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
04 - 2 teaspoons ground cumin
05 - 1 tablespoon chili powder
06 - 1 teaspoon salt
07 - 1 tablespoon onion powder
08 - 1 tablespoon garlic powder
09 - 125g brown sugar

→ BBQ Sauce

10 - 1 jar of your favorite BBQ sauce

# Steps to Make It:

01 - Pull the ribs out of the oven, let 'em hang out for 5 to 10 minutes, slice into pieces, then dig in.
02 - Set the oven to broil on high. Broil ribs for 5 minutes till that sauce is bubbling and looks sticky-caramelized. Watch super close, you don't want burnt ribs.
03 - Carefully open the foil and pour out any extra liquid if there's a lot. Slather on the BBQ sauce.
04 - Let the ribs bake in the oven for 3 hours in the middle rack so they're nice and tender, and the bones are easy to wiggle loose.
05 - Tightly wrap each rack in foil, meaty side facing up, then place on a baking tray.
06 - Pat the dry rub all over both sides of the ribs, making sure to really press it in.
07 - Rinse the ribs under cold water, dry with paper towels, then take off the silvery skin from the back.
08 - Mix all the dry rub stuff together really well in a small bowl. Set it aside for later.
09 - Turn your oven to 135°C, top and bottom heat.

# Extra Information:

01 - The easiest way to get rid of the silvery skin is a teaspoon and some paper towels for grip. Baking wrapped in foil keeps the ribs super juicy.
