Heat that oven to 375°F. Take out your baking sheet and either spray it lightly with oil or use some non-stick parchment paper.

Grab a big bowl. Toss in your flour, cinnamon, baking powder, sugar, salt, and nutmeg. Give it all a solid stir with a whisk.

In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, butter, and vanilla until the mix is smooth and holds together.

Pour your wet mix into the dry mix. Stir it just enough to combine; don’t overdo it. Then, carefully mix in the small bits of apple.

Spoon lumps of batter onto the baking sheet, keeping a couple inches between them. Bake for around 14 to 16 minutes, until they’re puffed up and golden.

While the fritters cool, mix the powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk to make a lovely, smooth glaze.

Drizzle that glaze all over your fritters. Give the glaze a few minutes to set before devouring.
